Whakarāpopototanga:The effects of Chemical Engineering are less obvious but are just as all-pervasive and growing infiltration of the products of engineering and technology into every home, and to the fact that our lives are more and more conditioned by engineering and technology. This is particularly true of the so-called Less Developed Countries. Consequently, indiscriminate pursuit of advanced technologies by these countries without adequate attention to the human and environmental problems are giving rise to a number of social and psychological maladies, the gravities of which are evident in our craze for imported products.
