Résumé:The paper reported the findings of a survey on the students’ perception of the library instruction course in Obafemi Awolowo University. The usefulness, status, content and organisation of the course were examined. The survey confirmed the usefulness of the course while the course content and organization needed improvement. About 50 percent of the students felt that more hours were needed in order to exhaustively treat the topics. Opinion on its non credit-earning status had a 3:2 ratio in support. About 40 percent of the respondents would rather have the course to be credit-earning.
