description The prospecting, exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources follow a sequence of steps that each affects vegetation in different ways. This is followed by more intensive study, testing and drilling in selected areas to locate and evaluate the oil and gas resource. Production facilities include wells and pumps, gathering and transportation lines, storage tanks and some primary processing facilities.
