Sumario:The root words ajobi and ajogbe of alajobi and alajogbe have been translated into the English language as consanguinity and co-residentship. Both are variations on the theme of sociation. The lecture discussed sociation, characteristics of ajobi and ajogbe, and ajobi and ajogbe as variations on the theme of sociation. This subject is the direction that sociology may take as, a theoretical and an empirical discipline in Africa in general and Nigeria in particular.
