The study analysed data from 100 urban-based and 100 rural-based farms in Ogun State. Results reveal that farming expenditure is the main determinant of farm size common to both the urban and rural farming areas. Mode of acquisition (allocation from family land) is the other determinant of farm size in the urban farming area, while years of farming experience and the mode of acquisition (customary tenancy.) are the other determinants in the rural farming areas. |
